The Genjintchi Tamagotchi is a limited-edition model of the vintage Tamagotchi. It was sold in cinemas in conjunction with the screening of the film “Peking Man”.

This Tamagotchi has a caveman theme, with unique characters like a caveman and a cavewoman, great apes, ancient relics, skeletons, mammoths and much more! The Genjintchi Tamagotchi boasts unique features such as the Evolution Meter and De-Evolution.

The basic idea is that you raise life from DNA. You evolve your life form by praising it when it attracts attention, increasing the likelihood that it will develop into a more “evolved” character. If you severely neglect your Genjintchi, it has a chance of moving to the previous stage while remaining at the same age, almost like a reset. For example, if you neglect your teenager badly, he’ll revert to being a child while remaining the same age, and you’ll have to wait another 72 hours for him to revert to being a teenager.
