The Keitai (or K-Tama) tamagotchi was released in 2004 and is recognizable by its antenna on the left. It added an in-game currency system (Gotchi points), new characters, new mini-games and more. A year later, a reissue came out: The Akai tamagotchi. In 2005, the Hanerutchi version in partnership with the Haneru No Tobira show was unveiled, followed in 2006 by the Tamagotchi Connection V3 with a similar design and similar concepts.
